Our proprietary FR-FabBack®, is a knit-backing ready to use for commercial upholstered furniture that has been treated for NFPA-260, tested (Diversified Laboratories) to meet the Cigarette Ignition Resistance of Components of Upholstered Furniture, and is in compliance with the Fire Marshall Codes for NFPA-260.
In order for our specialized FR- FabBack® to be effective and in compliance with the NFPA-260 code, it can only be bonded to fabrics that are either processed inhouse with our FR FlameGard® treatment or with performance fabrics that are inherently flame resistant.
A Certificate of Application will be provided to clients with the completion of each order stating that the fabric(s) and the knit-backing submitted to FabricBack was treated for the NFPA-260. The Certificate of Application should be attached to the documentation submitted to the Fire Marshall. In the case that the Fire Marshall requires an independent laboratory testing of your particular fabric after is backed, we will be happy to facilitate the contact information for several accredited testing labs. This lab testing is not included in our fees, the client is responsible for paying directly to the lab of his/her choice.
